What we offer
Good attic ventilation is an important part of a healthy roof. Air comes in through vents at the soffits and leaves through vents near the top of the roof, which helps keep the attic cooler in summer and drier in winter.
Without enough ventilation, a Texas attic can get very hot. That heat can shorten the life of your shingles and make your air conditioner work harder. Poor ventilation can also lead to moisture in the attic during colder months.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my attic ventilation is poor?
Common signs include an attic that is much hotter than the outdoor temperature, upstairs rooms that are hard to cool and moisture or frost on the underside of the roof deck in winter.
Are turbines better than ridge vent?
Neither is always better. Ridge vents work well on roofs with a long, continuous ridge, while turbines can suit roofs with shorter ridges. Mixing different exhaust vents on the same attic is usually not recommended.
Will better ventilation lower my electricity bill?
It can help, since a cooler attic puts less heat into the rooms below. Ventilation works best together with good attic insulation.
Can ventilation be added without replacing the roof?
In many cases, yes. Soffit vents can often be improved from below, while some roof vents require work on the roof itself.
Does an attic fan solve it?
Not always. Without enough intake vents, a powered fan can pull cooled air out of your home. Intake ventilation should be checked first.
